Stephanie Brancati

Stephanie is eager to help with Lakers' projects to safeguard the pristine nature of Flathead Lake.

As a child, Stephanie loved going on weekend outings with her mom to streams and the mountains outside of Denver.  Her Montana relatives took her camping in Yellowstone, where she was afraid that the dog she heard outside the canvas tent was a bear but then slept right through the actual bear that came to snitch fish from the next campsite.  All those childhood experiences led to an interest in the outdoors and in protecting wildlands.

Stephanie graduated from Colorado State University, college of Forestry and Natural Resources, and worked for the US Forest Service for several years in Colorado and Wyoming. She then went on to get a second degree from the University of Colorado School of Nursing, after which she began a 30 year career in nursing.

After retirement eight years ago, Stephanie and her husband moved to Flathead Lake full time, into the house they have had for many years.  She appreciate the friends they’ve made here. She delights in being on the lake, and sharing that enjoyment with the many summer visitors they have, swimming, hiking, kayaking, or sailing in their small sailboat, showing them the beauty of the Flathead area.
