Preliminary Platt Hearing for Flathead Lake Club in Lakeside
The Flathead County Planning Board will meet on Wednesday, July 09, 2025, at 6:00pm in the 2nd floor conference room of the South Campus Building, 40 11th Street West, Kalispell, Montana.
On the agenda for this meeting is a A request from Flathead Friends, LLC, with technical assistance from 406 Engineering, Inc. and Kimley Horn & Associates, Inc., for preliminary plat approval of Flathead Lake Club, a proposal to create 359 residential lots and 7 commercial lots
on approximately 1,700 acres, to be completed in five phases. The subdivision would be served by the Lakeside Water & Sewer District for wastewater treatment. The developer will construct their own water system for the project, to the Lakeside Water & Sewer District’s specifications, and turn over ownership and operation of the water system to the District at the conclusion of each phase. Access to the lots would be from a network of internal subdivision roads via two approaches onto Highway 93. The property is located along Highway 93, south of the unincorporated community of Lakeside, Montana. You can read their full project application here. We are encouraging out members to become familiar with this project and are we are actively working with our partners to monitor this development and its potential impacts on the watershed. Update The Flathead Lakers raised concerns about potential negative effects on water quality and urged the board to ask the developer to consider alternatives to the proposed plans during this hearing.
