Flathead Lakers Seek EPA Guidance on Montana's Water Quality Rollback

Montana House Bill 664 eliminates the use of Numeric Nutrient Standards—a critical tool for monitoring and protecting water quality. In response, Flathead Lakers and our partners have called on EPA Region 8 leadership to clarify how they will uphold clean water protections in light of this policy change.

This rollback threatens the health of our lakes, rivers, and downstream ecosystems.

We’re committed to defending science-based standards and ensuring accountability in water quality management.

📎 Stay tuned as we continue advocating for strong, enforceable protections for clean water in Montana.
