End of Winter Lake Levels

Historically, Flathead Lake reached its lowest level at the end of winter and the first weeks of spring. Prior to Kerr Dam, the average lake level for 31 March was just under 2883. After Kerr Dam, the average lake level rose slightly, to 2884.1, varying somewhat from year-to-year depending on flood forecasts.

The graphs below display the lake level for 31 March in two different formats, and are followed by two graphs displaying the average elevations for each month for the pre and post Kerr Dam eras. After each graph, there is a link to a PDF of the graph that can be downloaded for high quality printing. These graphs may be reproduced; we ask that the Lakers and James Conner be credited.
